RSS Feeds

What are RSS feeds?
RSS feeds let you read up on your favourite web sites without having to visit all of them separately. The idea is pretty simple. As the amount of information and sites on the internet increase at a cosmic rate, all that information must be somehow managed and gathered in one place for an individual to be able to follow all these different media outlets.
How do I access these feeds?
RSS feeds are usually accessed through news readers such as Google Reader or Newsgator. Many browsers also have an in-built feature to read RSS feeds such as Opera or Mozilla Firefox. However, the easiest solution is to use a web-based reader which can be accessed from anywhere regardless of which computer or browser you are using. If you have a Gmail account, use Google Reader. You won’t need to create a spearate account, just sign in with your normal usename and password.
